Grief Counselling - Compassionate Support Through Loss

A gentle, confidential space to talk, feel, remember and begin finding your way forward — at your own pace.

Grief can affect every part of life: your emotions, sleep, relationships, concentration, energy and sense of direction. You do not have to manage it alone.

Grief counselling offers a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly about your loss, make sense of what you are experiencing, and explore ways to cope with the days ahead.

If you feel  ready to talk about your experience of grief and how I can support you during this difficult time get in touch today to arrange a free initial conversation.

How Grief Counselling can help

There is no right way to grieve, and there is no set timeline. Some people feel overwhelmed; others feel numb, angry, guilty, anxious or disconnected.

Grief counselling gives you room to explore these feelings without judgement, pressure or expectation.

  • Talk about the person, relationship or life change you are grieving.
  • Understand the emotional, physical and practical impact of loss.
  • Find coping strategies for difficult days, anniversaries and unexpected waves of grief.
  • Work through guilt, anger, regret, loneliness or unanswered questions.
  • Begin rebuilding routine, meaning and connection in a way that feels manageable.

My Lived Experience

I have encountered many aspects of tragedy and grief in my own personal life.

Alongside my professional therapy training, these personal experiences have helped shaped my work as a therapist giving me a deeper understanding of how grief can affect our day to day lives and how sometimes we can feel as though we are coping really well , only to be reminded of something so painful that we feel completely derailed and overcome with sadness.

My work as a therapist and my understanding of grief and all its complexities means I will listen to you, support you and encourage you to share your thoughts, feelings and memories of what you have lost.

I often find that friends or family tend to not ask about who is missing from our lives, almost as though, if they do, they are reminding us of our loss, (how could we forget) but talking about our loved ones and all that they meant keeps their memory alive.

Grief is complex and our response to grief and how we navigate that is as individual as we are.

Who I Support with Grief Counselling

I support adults who are experiencing bereavement, anticipatory grief, the end of a significant relationship, family estrangement, pet loss, identity changes after caring responsibilities, or any loss that has left life feeling different. Your grief does not need to look a certain way to be valid.

About my Grief Counselling sessions

Frequently asked questions

  • Is grief counselling only for recent bereavement?

No. Grief can resurface months or years after a loss, especially around anniversaries, milestones or life changes. Counselling can help whether your loss is recent or long-standing.

  • What if I do not know what to say?

All the counselling sessions are available online only.

  • Will counselling make the grief go away?

Counselling is not about forgetting, moving on quickly or fixing grief. It is about helping you carry your loss with more support, understanding and self-compassion and learning to live with grief as a part of  your life.

Why choose grief counselling?

Friends and family can provide invaluable comfort, yet it can be challenging to express all your feelings to those nearest to you. Grief counselling provides a distinct, safe space where your experiences can be fully acknowledged—including the aspects that may feel complicated, confusing, or difficult to articulate in other contexts.
